Post Graduation: “I will be working as a postdoc in the Chaisson lab to keep exploring my research interests. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in the biotech industry, where I can continue my passion for research.”
“QCB has been a unique place for me to grow as much as I can and give as much as I have back to the community. The rigorous coursework during my first year set a solid foundation for my subsequent research as I transitioned from being a biochemist. I have been very fortunate to be working with Mark on an interesting topic -- repetitive DNA sequences and their impact on human phenotypes. I was able to demonstrate to people how complex and important these regions could be through conferences and journal publications. Beyond my research, I enjoyed serving as the social chair in our graduate student government, where I organized several social events and alumni talks to foster connections and personal growth.”
